Question:
I am very interested in your Email ActiveX component. I was almost ready to purchase the EasyMail product when a colleague put me on to your stuff. Could you please tell me what your upgrade policy is ?

Also, do I read correctly that you need IE 5 to run the control ? If I am correct, why is this so ?

Answer:
All new-version upgrades are always free. In addition, the license covers ActiveX, .NET, C++, and most recently Java, Perl, Python, and Ruby. Basically, once you're licensed for the Email component, you never need to upgrade and the license is valid across all platforms supported by Chilkat.

Support is 1-year unlimited phone and email.

You need IE 4.01 or greater (not IE 5.0). However, I doubt you'll find a computer that doesn't meet that requirement. The requirement exists because some of the methods used from the Microsoft Platform SDK require it.
