PassiveUseHostAddr

Question:
I am having trouble diagnosing an error with a couple of my clients. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I connect, then transfer a file. The connection appears to be working fine, but the file transfer always fails. This works on some clients and not on others. I’m sure it has something to do with the firewall settings, but absent specific solution, I can’t ask them to change their firewall settings. The FTP server that is receiving the files requires passive mode.

Answer:
I would recommend updating to the latest version (the new upgrades are free, so you only need to download the latest from Chilkat Downloads, and your unlock code will work).

Also, use passive mode, but also set the PassiveUseHostAddr property = true.
