Chilkat RAR / UnRAR Freeware — Pre-Release Available
Chilkat now includes a RAR API for listing the contents and extracting RAR archives. (i.e. "Unrar") It is currently available as a pre-release. See the examples below or go to http://www.chilkatsoft.com/preRelease.asp for pre-release downloads.
The Chilkat RAR functionality does not provide the ability to create RAR archives. Chilkat is unable to provide this because of restrictions on the RAR compression algorithm.
The Chilkat RAR functionality is freeware. However, it is included within downloads that contain a mix of both freeware and commercial components.
