Question:
We are using the Chilkat IMAP component from a service that reads and process e-mail messages. We leave the e-mail messages on the server because the mailbox being monitored by the service is also monitored from the user’s Outlook program (messages needs to be read by a human). We noticed that when the service is reading (using FetchEmail) the e-mails, they are marked as read (they loose the bold font) in Outlook.
Is there a property to prevent this? Or something we can do to prevent this?
Answer:
The PeekMode property can be set to true (or 1 if using the ActiveX) to prevent the messages from being marked as already-read when accessed.
