Chilkat2 Module for Python — Downloads
The latest Chilkat2 Python module for Windows, Linux, Alpine Linux, and macOS. Each download works with every Python version from 3.7 onward — the module targets the CPython stable ABI, so there is one download per operating system and processor, and a download made today also works with Python versions released later.
pip install chilkat2The downloads below are for manual (non-pip) installation. Python 3.6 and earlier, 32-bit x86 Linux/Alpine and armv7l Alpine are no longer supported.

Which download do I need?
Match the download to the Python you will run, not just the computer. To see what your Python is, run:
python3 -c "import platform, sys; print(platform.system(), platform.machine(), sys.version.split()[0])"
Windows
- 64-bit Python (AMD64)→ chilkat2-python-x64
- 32-bit Python→ chilkat2-python-win32
- ARM64 Python on Windows on ARM→ chilkat2-python-arm64
Python may run as a 32-bit process even on a 64-bit PC. An x64 Python on an ARM PC (emulated) uses the x64 build.
Linux (glibc)
- x86_64→ chilkat2-python-x86_64-linux
- arm64→ chilkat2-python-aarch64-linux
- armv7l (32-bit ARM)→ chilkat2-python-armv7l-linux
Raspberry Pi: 64-bit OS → arm64, 32-bit OS (or Pi Zero/1/2) → armv7l.
Alpine Linux (musl)
- x86_64→ chilkat2-python-x86_64-alpine
- arm64→ chilkat2-python-aarch64-alpine
Use these inside python:*-alpine Docker images.
macOS
- Apple silicon (arm64)→ chilkat2-python-arm64-macosx
- Intel (x86_64)→ chilkat2-python-x86_64-macosx
An Intel Python running under Rosetta on an Apple-silicon Mac needs the x86_64 build.

Each download contains a code-signed chilkat2.pyd for one processor architecture
(64-bit x64, 32-bit win32, or ARM64) that loads into any CPython 3.7 or later of that architecture.

For glibc-based distributions (Debian/Ubuntu, RHEL/Fedora, SUSE, Arch, Raspberry Pi OS, …). Alpine Linux uses musl and needs the Alpine downloads below.
macOS

Both builds are code-signed. Apple silicon requires macOS 11 or later; Intel requires macOS 10.14 or later.
